[Things are going well on the travel to Goldenrod, and AJ is leading the pack. Like, way in front. She's a little fidgety and keeps looking behind her, at the others, before quickly snapping her head back to look straight before someone can catch her eye. Eventually though, when she thinks she's far enough ahead, she'll take out her journal.]

[Yeah. And Rarity catches that and her expression softens for a few moments before she shakes it off and continues. She's convinced AJ is just being stubborn.]

And we're best friends, Applejack. Of course I can keep a secret. Now, what is it? Surely it can't be as bad as you're making it out to be...

[She just closes her eyes and nods. She's really not in the position to argue.]

I'm sorry, Rarity. I was just scared about what you guys'd think...

[Sigh.]

[Rarity stares at Applejack for a moment, allowing a moment or two for her words to process in her head.]

… Feelngs? [She looks ahead for a moment, a couple of emotions—mostly surprise crossing and then leaving her expression within the span of a few seconds.]

[She’s pretty sure that she knows what kind of feelings, but… What? This was so… so sudden. They had never shown any signs of being... err… having feelings for each other back at home. Heck, as far as she knew, everypony in their group preferred colts to fillies.

Or so she thought. This was so odd. So… so… stange.

She isn’t even sure how to feel about that. How to react? She feels her teeth grinding and that alerts her that she needs to respond to Applejack. ]
