[Applejack clicks on her audio feed. Her voice is low, quiet, like a soft sigh. She hesitates for a moment, before speaking, quickly.]

For those who knew her... my lil' sis, Apple Bloom's... gone back to Ponyville.

[And that's it. She clicks the feed off, and likely won't be answering it for a while. She needs to go clear her head.]

[She saw the feed and already knows. She stays behind, cleaning up Applejack's room, getting a meal and snacks ready for her, anything and everything to try and help while AJ is away.]

I'm sorry, Applejack. How are you holding up?

She... shouldn't have been here in the first place. 'Specially after that last Rocket attack...

[Not that that answers your question, or anything.]

[A couple hours pass, and AJ will quietly step back into their room. Her hair is a mess, her body and clothes are covered in dirt and scratches. She sets her bag down near the door and sits silently on the edge of the bed, looking at the floor.]

Trying to rationalise it won't make you miss her any less, you know.

_{[Kindly. Come on, girl.]}

[She stops, and then quietly goes up to Applejack, standing in front of her. She wraps her arms around her girl, resting her chin atop her head.]

Uh, huh huh huh. Ponyville? Uh, huh huh huh.

... 'Course I miss her. There ain't nothin' more important than family...

[She wraps her arms around her, resting her head against Fluttershy's chest.]

I miss her already.

S'there somethin' funny 'bout that?

_{[There's a small 'hm' following that.]}

You'll get to see her again sooner or later. And in the meantime you still have your other family.

_{[Hint, hint - your friends.]}

[Gently pets her hair.]

I reckon you're right. I've made one heck of a family here in Johto, too. It's just... seein' Apple Bloom really reminded me of home. I don't know what I'd do for a chance t'see Sweet Apple Acres again.

I hope she at least had some fun while she was here.

You're right. I shouldn't be so upset about this. I'm just... real homesick, right now.

[She nods, taking her hat off and placing it on the far end of the bed. Unsurprisingly, it's just about the only part of her that isn't a mess.]

At least I still got you an' the gals here. I don't know what I'd do without you.

[She picks up a brush from the dresser drawer, and begins lightly brushing AJ's hair.]

Uh, huh huh huh. Yeah. Uh, huh huh huh. Ponies are for babies. Uh, huh huh huh.

H-hey--

[She squirms lightly in protest, before quickly giving in.]

[The first thing Twilight does when she gets the message is to try to go out and find AJ.

This is not the brightest idea for at least two reasons, one, she hasn't been here all that long and could easily get lost, and two, Applejack probably wants to be alone for a while and might not appreciate Twi barging in on her. Twilight knows that, but dangit, Applejack's upset and could probably use a friend right now, and she's at least going to offer.

As soon as she can find her, that is. Twilight's first guess? She's just outside the city, getting lost in nature for a while.]

I'm sorry about your sister. I know if my brother was here then went home I'd be upset too.

I hope you'll be okay.

ponyville doesnt sound like a bad place to be
