009 Bushels ❦ [Video/Action for Goldenrod]
So... I've been thinkin' 'bout gettin' me a job. Bein' a trainer's been bringin' in some good money, but it just ain't enough for all the things I got planned. Anypony got an idea where t'start lookin'?
[Sometime late in the day, just outside the city, there's a blinding flash of light, followed by a low, deep, loud groaning noise. Anyone wandering through the trees may catch the sight of something purple before the shadow of the beast blocks your view. Eventually, when the groaning stops, AJ scrambles for her 'gear and clicks on the feed.]
Uh... gals? You might wanna get a look at this.

Well~ I'm only working as sales clerk right now--there really isn't a lot to it at all. So... despite your usually rugged appearance--granted you do look very nice when you try--there shouldn't be any reason why they wouldn't hire you.
All they ask is that you adhere to the dress code while you're on the clock; which really isn't anything outrageous.
[Action]
Dress... code?
[Action]
In fact... I think that it might be good for you.

[She's wearing new blue jeans and everything! What could be wrong with that?]

[You will never catch Rarity in a pair for jeans. Except on nightmare night. That was the only exception.]
In a clothing shop, it looks extremely unprofessional to wear something like that. So, I'm sorry Applejack, but if you want this job, then you can't go in dressing like the Clamponies. Jethro and Ellie Mare don't really appeal to the higher class customers.

An' how should I look? All prim an' proper with my clothes pressed an' my hair done up? I'll tell you, Rarity. You can polish an apple 'til it shines like the sun, but that ain't gonna make it taste any better.

It's just apart of this shop's business, darling. One of their rules that they have stood by for a good long while. Most places in bigger cities have similar dress codes--even back in Equestria. The shops that I visited in Canterlot seemed to have very strict dress codes.
[She moves a bit closer to Applejack, places a hand on her shoulder and smiles.]
Just because you have to dress nice on occasion doesn't mean that you have to stop being Applejack. Despite what I may say sometimes, your cheerful, friendly attitude is really all that you need to draw people in. That isn't something that a dress code is going to ever change.

[She blinks and looks at the floor.]

Really. ♥

Don't worry, dear. I can incorporate a bit of your own style into something more professional looking. And nothing... 'froufrou' of course. I promise. ♥
