[Good evening, residents of Johto. I hope you're a fan of loud sounds! The 'Gear feed opens to the sound of a loud crack of a backpack hitting a tree, before splashing down into a pile of snow.]

You ate all my food, you good-for-nothing thief! [A young woman's voice yells out in a heavy southern drawl. The target of her frustration wanders into view: a Munchlax, who takes the opportunity to rummage through her backpack for any morsel he might have left behind in his last raid. His eyes grow wide at the sight of the pokegear. It's so shiny and red, like a big yummy apple.

...And then anyone watching gets to find out what the inside of a Munchlax's mouth looks like.]

Gimme that! That ain't for eatin'!

[A woman's hand rips the 'Gear from the pokemon's mouth, the force causing her to topple backwards into the snow. She appears to be in her early twenties, her face dotted with freckles and framed with golden-blonde hair tied into a ponytail near the bottom. Wearing nothing but a pair of blue jeans and an orange button-down, she doesn't exactly look properly dressed for the weather. She shifts awkwardly in the snow, fumbling with the 'Gear.]

Darn these wiggly things, an' this weird body. [She snorts in frustration, before giving up and using her mouth to turn off the feed.]

About gettin' stronger... if I was here before, did I have any pokey-mon? What happened to 'em?

You did. Several, actually, some of them very strong. Unless they were released into the wild, they've probably gone to the breeding center in Goldenrod City...

[Sudden burst of inspiration.]

Where you might be able to get them back.

They were strong, huh? [She's not surprised. If she doesn't have any duties on the farm to deal with, all that energy has to go somewhere. She just wishes that she could remember most of this.]

That'd go a long way towards gettin' me back at fightin' strength.

Very. I think my team's stronger, at this point, but yours shouldn't be discounted. The problem is... you've been gone about a year. Will they still acknowledge you?

I gotta try, at least. If they were mine, I should at least show 'em I didn't abandon them.

Well, I can't argue with that. And besides, they do deserve to at least see you now that you're back. Maybe by the time we get to Goldenrod you'll remember them all.

Alright. The moment Fluttershy is back on her feet, we're makin' a beeline to Goldenrod an' findin' my pokey-mon.

Sounds like a plan to me. First things first, though. Fluttershy.

[They're coming up close enough to see Violet if they look down, by this point. But AJ's probably not going to notice that.]

Not that we can really do much for her aside from be there, mind you. The poison has to work its own way out of her system.

Right. [She sighs. Not being able to do anything is frustrating. Still, she's not going to leave her side until she's better.]

In the meantime, I reckon I should start trainin' that Munchlax.

I'll start by teachin' it that shoes ain't food...

I know it's frustrating, but she will get better.

[If only because if she doesn't, Twi may well snap.]

That's probably a good decision. I'd offer to have Sapphire serve as a good example, but all she'd teach it would be how to sleep.

Sleepin's better than eatin', so that might be a good lesson for him.

That's a decent point... I wonder if he'd just wind up chewing on her feet. Well, at least we can buy him more food when we get there.

My money's just about the only thing he didn't eat, seems fittin' I spend it on more food for him.

[She's quiet for a while until she notices how close they're getting.] Oh, we're coming up on Violet now! We'll be heading down in a few more minutes.

O-oh, great! [Sweet dirt I missed you so much.]

The, uh... landin'. It's easier than the lift off, right?

Well... yes, but it's also very, very fast.

... Keep your eyes closed, and try not to focus on the feeling of falling.

[Oh that's real helpful, Twi.]

Y-you don't have t'worry about the first part!

Good! You'll get used to the second.

[Annnnnd they're coming in for their landing. Feeling that falling sensation yet, AJ?]

[You have no idea. Oh sweet Celestia let this be over quickly. Please please please.]

[Unfortunately, they have quite a bit of down to go. It's like the world's longest roller coaster dive.

But eventually, after what feels like far too long in free-fall (though it's actually nowhere close to a real plummet) Spike's descent starts to slow, and gradually, he swoops in for his landing. With a grunt, he lands right outside of the center.]

We're here.

[Twilight, however, doesn't appear to plan on moving right away.]

[buckyouup]

[Applejack, her eyes squeezed shut so tight it hurts, doesn't make a move. Still bracing for the landing, her body refuses to move, for fear that the falling sensation would begin again.]

[friendyousohard]

[It takes a while, but eventually Twilight manages to swing one of her legs over to the other and hop off.]

I really need to get more used to this. Applejack? Are you okay?
