[Applejack has been quiet for the last few days. Hardly in the mood to talk, the southerner has been taking advantage of the warmer weather to get in some training. Never wanting to sit still, she takes every opportunity to run or fight or do something, but outside of her pokemon, she insists on being alone. She has to keep herself busy. So she doesn't think. So she isn't reminded.

One year. One whole year. And that's just the time she remembers. That's not counting the time she's been here before. She hasn't seen her family, her home, her orchard, in a year. She knows that time works strange here, that for her, time isn't moving back home, but that doesn't quite translate to her emotions. To her, she's spent a whole year of her life chasing strange animals while her family and her farm is without her. Stuck in some strange land, located who knows how far away from home. If she was never brought here, what would she have experienced at home? Would this year's haul be a good one? Did Apple Bloom get her cutie mark? She didn't want to think about it. She didn't want to think at all.

If you happen to be wandering in a secluded part of town, you may notice Applejack training. She may be running laps, or doing sit-ups, or training her pokemon, but one thing is instantly noticeable: she looks like shit. Her clothes are torn and her body is dirty and covered in scrapes and bruises. She looks like she hasn't slept in days. She doesn't want to. She dreams of home.]

Besides, you need that food I made you and some decent sleep.

[She kisses her forehead.]

But... now that y'mention it. That bed sure was cozy, an' I ain't about t'let food go t'waste.

We can be close just as well under the covers as we can in here. If you really want to wash me so badly you can do it when we wake up.

[Off with the water, now.]

Come on, grab a towel.

Yes ma'am.

[She snickers, reaching over and grabbing two towels and offering one to Twilight.]

[After a quick tousle of her hair with the towel, she wraps it around herself and steps out to open the door.]

Don't bother with clothes, we're alone tonight.

Wasn't gonna bother anyway.

[She grins. She appreciates the privacy, though.]

One day, AJ, they are going to actually arrest you for... what do they call it? Public indecency.

[This is a legitimate worry...]

Maybe they'll lock me up with folks that understand me.

[She takes Twilight's hand.]

[And heading out of the bathroom to get those sammiches.]

Well, I don't want you locked up without me, so I guess I'll have to strip down and run naked through the streets too.

Now that'd be a sight t'see.

[She can't help but laugh.]

But I reckon I prefer seein' you naked here with me.

So be it then.

[Towel: dropped. Going over to get her sandwich now.]

[And she'll just go ahead and watch you while you do it.

After a moment, she makes her way to bed.]

[Bringing those sandwiches back over to the bed and climbs on in.]

Here. Dinner in bed.

[She puts an arm around Twilight.]

I couldn't be luckier.

Oh I'm sure I can find some way.

[Snuggles in, and stretches out an arm to flick of the light. They hardly need it to eat some sandwiches.]

I reckon you could.

[She chuckles through bites of her sandwich.]

Just stay close, alright, Sugarcube?

[She's missed you.]

That's the last thing you have to worry about. After this last week, I'm not letting you out of my sight.

[She's probably exaggerating.

... Maybe.]

[But probably not.]

...I love you, Twilight.

[She grins, though it might be hard to see.]

You're soundin' more like an Apple every day!

Heh. I know your family so well, I should introduce you to mine sometime.

[Sandwich done, she snuggles into AJ and nestles her head in the crook of her arm.]

[Her hands drift to the small of Twilight's back, keeping her held tight.]

Sounds like a good time t'me. Maybe I'll get t'see some baby pictures~.

Oh that's a given... Hey, I never get to see any of yours! Did you and Mac hide all of them somewhere or have we just never gotten lucky enough to see Granny Smith pull out the book?

I reckon she's got a book somewhere. Granny still adds t'Apple Bloom's every once in a while.

Well there's a lot to add, given how adorable she is and continues to be.
