What in tarnation is this!?

[The gear feed opens on the ground, half-obscured by grass. Not too far in the distance, a young, fair-skinned girl sits shakily on her knees, her face obscured by a ten-gallon hat and a large golden ponytail. Her knees are scuffed and her face is dirty, signs she just fell from her feet. However, rather than trying to get back up, she remains on her knees, staring at her hands in disbelief.]

I swear... [She pants.] I swear... if this is one of your tricks, Discord... [She tries to get back on her feet, but stumbles backwards. Her hat falls off her head, revealing her freckled face and shocking green eyes.]

You ain't gonna have any teeth when I'm through with you!!

[She turns the camera toward a pokémon chilling on the floor (http://i.imgur.com/CLGh8.png) near her bag and a pair of boots. Yes, the pokémon does have a small top hat.]

He's a fire type!

A fire type, huh? Sounds like he could be pretty helpful lil' fella.

[And quite the fancy dresser, to boot.]

He is super helpful! I've already taught him how to make cupcakes! We don't even need an oven!

You're kiddin'! Cupcakes on the road would be one great energy boost, that's for sure.

Especially since humans don't eat grass or flowers! I've got a nice big bag to keep all the ingredients in, too. It's nowhere near as great as my saddlebags, but it's big enough considering it's just one bag!

...What 'xactly do hue-mans eat?

[Not that she's hungry, or anything. Nope. Not at all.]

A lot of what they eat is the same as us! Just not grass or flowers.

[Her nose wrinkles up as she continues.]

They eat meat, though. I saw it at the store.

Meat? No thank you. I'll stick to carrots and apples.

That's what I thought, too! Except I said cupcakes and cookies.

[Laugh] A'course, Pinkie. We need to make sure you don't lose all that energy of yours.

[Because with a diet of only sweets? She'll be bouncing off the walls. Maybe more than usual.]

[More like less than usual! She's already discovered that she can't eat nearly as many sweets as she's used to because it gives her a tummy ache.]

Oh, speaking of food! There's berries all over the place apparently, and they're only for pokémon! I heard they make humans get really sick.

[Oh great. Like she wasn't sure enough of what to eat to begin with, now we have poison pokemon berries.]

...Any way I can tell 'em apart?

I thiiiink they have funny patterns on them. They don't look like normal fruit! Some of them sort of do, but they're the wrong colour, or have dots or stripes or something!

[She nods a couple times.] I'll be sure to keep an eye out for 'em then.

Where are ya, anyway? Fluttershy said she was lookin' for ya.

I'm pretty far away from Fluttershy! There's a map on your thingy, if you look at it, I'm in Mahogany Town!

[Give her a second to look through the 'thingy'. Sure enough, there's Mahogany Town. And Goldenrod City, where Fluttershy is.]

You're both pretty far away. This is gonna make for one interestin' walk.

And the worst part is I can't even go anywhere yet! All the wild pokémon around here are pretty strong, stronger than Colonel Custard is for sure.

Then how're you supposed to get out if the Colonel is too weak? An' how'd ya get so far out there to begin with?

[That question makes Pinkie awfully fidgety!]

I just woke up here, like people wake up where you are, too! Except...

[Oh no, Pinkie. What did you do?]

'Cept... what, Pinkie?

Mahogany Town is... where Team Rocket starts, I think. They're the bad guys.

[So of course Pinkie feels really bad about starting here.]

The bad guys? What in tarnation are you doin' startin' there then?

[Her voice rises, but she's trying to suppress her anger in the situation. Whatever is going on, it isn't Pinkie's fault.]

I don't know! I even woke up with their uniform on! I don't get it, I'd be a terrible bad guy! I don't even have my evil laugh down!

[And now all she can imagine is Pinkie walking along the road practicing her evil laugh. As much as she wanted to remain firm, the thought forces her to crack a smile.]

...Good thing Fluttershy's comin' to keep an eye on you. Wouldn't want our little criminal gettin' into trouble.

Maybe I can figure out how to make evil cupcakes!
