009 Bushels ❦ [Video/Action for Goldenrod]

So... I've been thinkin' 'bout gettin' me a job. Bein' a trainer's been bringin' in some good money, but it just ain't enough for all the things I got planned. Anypony got an idea where t'start lookin'?

[Sometime late in the day, just outside the city, there's a blinding flash of light, followed by a low, deep, loud groaning noise. Anyone wandering through the trees may catch the sight of something purple before the shadow of the beast blocks your view. Eventually, when the groaning stops, AJ scrambles for her 'gear and clicks on the feed.]

Uh... gals? You might wanna get a look at this.

[Rarity frowns and slowly nods her head, not at all liking the sight of Applejack's video feed suddenly going dark!]

I'll be there shortly! But what's happening? Are you alright? [Keeping her gear turned on as she running out into the snow!]

I'm alright, don't you worry. But... we've got a li'l bit of a problem.

[She starts slowly wandering closer to the meeting point, still followed by the looming shadow. Eventually, the creature following her lets out another deep groan loud enough to shake the trees.]

[Okay, really! Who couldn't have heard that?

Rarity stops for a moment, nearly dropping her gear in surprise.]

A-agh! W-what was that?! Applejack! What do you mean problem?! Stop being so vague!

[And she starts running faster! Almost there!]

[Sorry, Rarity. AJ doesn't even have time to respond, when the sight of a giant Drifblim peers down over the treeline at you. It lets out another groan, this one seeming oddly excited, as it starts slowly looming closer.]

... [When Rarity doesn't get an answer, she flips off her gear. Applejack is in plain sight by now.

She finally comes to a halt a short distance from Applejack, her eyes turning skyward toward the huge Pokemon. It was... pretty hard to miss. Was it looking at her?]

...A-Applejack..? [She's almost breathless from both horror and from running.] ... What is that?

[Because she wouldn't be able to guess that it was Spook.]

Uh... Rarity? Y'all remember li'l Spook?

[Because he's eclipsing the sun right now.]

[It takes her a moment to respond since she's staring, wide eyed in complete and utter shock at the enormous creature. Once she finally processes that Applejack replied to her question, she also remembers to breathe again.]

Spook?

[The massive Drifblim lets out another happy groan, smiling. Hello, friend!]

Uh... yeah. I just finished beatin' a trainer with him, an' suddenly grew so big! I can't find the trainer anywhere, so I reckon Spook scared him an' he ran off.

...Without payin' me, I might add...

[Oh, Celestia! Stay away! Breathe, Rarity... breathe! There isn't anything conveniently placed for you to faint on and the snow is sure to mess up your hair!

Taking a moment to calm herself down, she finally tears her gaze from the massive Spook and looks over at Applejack. She moves a bit closer to her as well. She doesn't like that Spook is looking at her.]

Is he supposed to be this big?

I ain't sure. I've never seen a Drifblim before. But I reckon this is the biggest pokey-mon I've ever laid eyes on.

Drifblim...?

[That's an understatement, AJ.]

I should say so! I can't imagine them getting any bigger than this! Is this even safe?

...I know he can't fit under my hat anymore. Probably can't fit inside most buildin's, either.

... [Rarity gives her friend a dry look and then turns her gaze back up toward Spook again.]

... I doubt that he could fit in most small towns. Just look at him... I can see where this could be a real problem.

I'm just not sure what he's gonna do about his love a' hair. Poor feller's too big t'fit on anypony's head anymore.

[Clearly this is the #1 issue at the moment.]

[Rarity's eyes widen again and she moves over behind AJ, her eyes still trained on Spook. She absently brings both hands up over a couple of locks of curled hair that are resting over her shoulder.]

Ahah. Yes. Far too big.

[She frowns at the Pokemon.]

You're going to have to do something with him...

I reckon I do have one idea. But I ain't sure it'll work.

[At this point, any idea is fair game.]

Oh? Do tell.

He knows this move called "minimize" that'll make him smaller. But I ain't sure how long he can hold it that way.

It's worth a try isn't it?

[Spook heard the word "minimize" and immediately knows what to do. He starts to slowly spin, sounding as if he was deflating, the pitch getting higher and higher as the pokemon gets smaller and smaller.]

[Ouch! Such a high-pitched squeak! That hurts Rarity's ears! She reaches up and places her hands over them, all-the-while watching Spook get smaller.]

Hm. Interesting trick.

[And behold! Spook is back to his old size. He squeaks happily, floating over to Rarity and spins around her playfully.]

[Rarity watches Spook spin around her. She has to admit--the smaller version of him is a lot better than the massive version. BUT DID HE HAVE TO GET SO CLOSE? She goes to move away. laughing nervously.]

Ah-uhm... Good. That's... much better.

[After all... she's already had to deal with a giant Spike.]

[But giant Spook wants to be your friend, not steal your possessions! Looove him~!]

I reckon so. I just hope he can keep that small 'til we need him bigger.

[Never!]

We can definitely hope, can't we? Ahah... [She's just gonna start slinking away.] Now if you'll excuse me dear, I'm going to go... uhm... sew so more.

[And she starts off! She forgot about the job thing. Feel free to remind her, AJ.]
