[Applejack is standing under a tree, her gaze locked on a single red apple hanging from a branch. She grits her teeth. Dumb human body. If she was a pony, this wouldn't be any problem at all. But damnit, she was hungry. She had to try.]

Alright, Applejack. It's just like back home. Nice an' easy, no problem.

[She backs up a couple steps, before running at the tree. When she gets close, she brings up her leg, forcing it into the trunk of the tree with all her might. She stays there, for a moment, glaring at the trunk, which hasn't budged an inch. The adrenaline quickly wearing off, Applejack yelps, rolling off the tree and grabbing her ankle.]

Dang it! Dumb apple, why can't you just fall!?

[Suddenly, shifting in the branches! AJ's eyes quickly dart up, smiling in expectation. She closed her eyes, holding out her hands. Soon that delicious ruby would be in her hands, and she'll finally be able to--OOF!]



[Applejack's eyes widen as the much-larger-than-an-apple pokemon lands on her chest. The Pineco's eyes narrow, growling.]

Uh, hey there, sugarcube. Let's not get too hasty...

[The feed cuts with the sound of an explosion.]

*Imogen and Omen shared a look. But neither broke Applejack's belief she did that herself. Instead Imogen stacked on lots of sarcasm. But all of it ended with a nearly convincing smile.*

Yes, a free apple for getting blown up and ruining your outfit. Definitely a winning trade, you should do this for all your apples.

There are a lot of things here that blow up, don't blow them up.

Well, it is certainly an interesting method. Way more creative than what I'd do.

You should let your Pokemon help you more. It's more fun to rely on your friends.

The only thing I can rely on Bushel for is for him to eat me out'ta house an' home.

I mean, yes, he eats a lot but you can probably train him.

Aerodactyl. They're big, winged, stone dinosaurs.

I hatched one right after new years. It's a baby so it's only about this tall. I'm sure it'll get bigger soon.

*Imogen's holding her hand to armpit level.*

She's not the most tame dinosaur, but I'm working on it! I was training Aglon when I heard your little run-in with the exploding bug.

That isn't that big, there are way bigger out there.

The biggest problem is that she isn't as smart as my other friends.

I reckon there's always one in every group. Still, I'm sure she's got other qualities that make her just as good as the others.

Well duh, she's a big imposing dinosaur! She's fast and strong and all manner of terrifying. She just isn't that good with people... and is big and scary and all manner of terrifying.
