011 Bushels ❦ [Video/Action for Violet]

[Applejack is standing under a tree, her gaze locked on a single red apple hanging from a branch. She grits her teeth. Dumb human body. If she was a pony, this wouldn't be any problem at all. But damnit, she was hungry. She had to try.]

Alright, Applejack. It's just like back home. Nice an' easy, no problem.

[She backs up a couple steps, before running at the tree. When she gets close, she brings up her leg, forcing it into the trunk of the tree with all her might. She stays there, for a moment, glaring at the trunk, which hasn't budged an inch. The adrenaline quickly wearing off, Applejack yelps, rolling off the tree and grabbing her ankle.]

Dang it! Dumb apple, why can't you just fall!?

[Suddenly, shifting in the branches! AJ's eyes quickly dart up, smiling in expectation. She closed her eyes, holding out her hands. Soon that delicious ruby would be in her hands, and she'll finally be able to--OOF!]



[Applejack's eyes widen as the much-larger-than-an-apple pokemon lands on her chest. The Pineco's eyes narrow, growling.]

Uh, hey there, sugarcube. Let's not get too hasty...

[The feed cuts with the sound of an explosion.]

[She's not letting go though. One growls at the other Pokemon, and then picks up FS's dropped bag with his mouth. Something slips out...]

Were you trying to buck apples...? This place doesn't have apples...

Then what's that thing up in the tree?

[Her eye shifts over to One, and Fluttershy's backpack. Did something just fall out?]

Berries... and Pokemon. But we can't eat the berries.

[Nidorino tries picking it up, but it keeps falling out of his mouth. It's a butterfly shaped ring.]

[Applejack leans down and picks up the ring. She fumbles it a bit with her awkward fingers, but quickly gets a grip of it.]

You drop this, sugarcube?

[3_butterflies]

[FS goes pale - well, paler - and suddenly shoots her fingers out, grabbing it, and holding it close to her chest. She ducks her head, hiding her face behind her hair.]

... I-It's nothing.

[buckyouup]

After that reaction, d'you honestly think I'm gonna think it's nothin'?

[She reaches out and takes her hand, gently trying to open it.]

[3_butterflies]

B-but...

[She flimsily tries to take it back, but Aj has it now. What a pretty ring. FS makes a low whining noise in her throat, and One lowers his head, ashamed he hurt his mistress this way.]

[She takes Fluttershy's hand, fumbling a bit, before placing the ring on her finger.]

There. That's better.

[3_butterflies]

[Fs goes quiet again, staring at her hand. Tears begin welling up in her eyes, as she can't tell whether AJ remembers the ring, or is just being polite. She swallows hard, trying to be brave.]

Th-thank you...

[Applejack isn't sure what she remembers, but that ring certainly looks familiar. With how emotional Fluttershy was getting over it, however, she felt that now maybe not the time to ask what it is.]

It sure is pretty.

I-it's... I-t's very...

[change subject change subject sweet celestia change subject-]

O-Oh, that's right! You knocked down a Pokemon!

Hey, that's right. Where'd that li'l guy go, anyway?

[3_butterflies]

[She stands up, and... oh boy.]

I think your Munchlax is trying to eat it.

[... fs don't say that like it's normal]

Yeah, he does that sometimes. [A lot actually.]

Well, he'll grow out of. Twilight's did... he'll be more concerned with sleeping when he's evolved.

[But, as it is... she straightens up, and heads toward the weird cannibalism.]

Down. Put him down. Open up.

[Bushel looks up at her, the Pineco still hanging from his mouth. His eyes narrow and he puts his hands on his hips.

What are you gonna do about it, lady?]

[She speaks sterner, leaning down.]

Open your mouth! Spit him out right now! He's going to give you a very bad tummy ache, and you won't be able to eat for days!

[Nidorino waits for an order, eyeing Bushel. 'gimme a reason, man, i'll make you into skish-ka-lax. gimmie a reason.']

[Bushel snorts, reaching into his mouth and removing the Pineco, tossing him on the floor.

Fine whatever he didn't taste good anyway.]

[Phew! Fluttershy sighs with relief.]

Thank you...

[She then kneels down, and cuddles the poor Pineco.]

I'm so sorry about all this. None of us meant to hurt you. My friend Applejack was looking for food, and had she known you were up there, she wouldn't have done that. Can you forgive her?

[The Pineco squirmed weakly in Fluttershy's arms. Who is this woman and why is she holding her? Why does she feel sticky? Why can't she explode yet!?]

[3_butterflies]

We'll just put you back under the tree, and we can all go on like this never happened.

[She hugs the poor confused Pineco and begins carrying him back to the tree.]

Aren't Pokemon simply amazing, Applejack?

They are. An' that attack sure was impressive, even if it ended up knockin' the poor thing out.

I think that was Self Destruct... or Explosion... I can't tell those two apart.

Maybe somethin' so strong would do well on my team.

[She stops in her tracks. no tree time for you, mister mon.]
