What in tarnation is this!?

[The gear feed opens on the ground, half-obscured by grass. Not too far in the distance, a young, fair-skinned girl sits shakily on her knees, her face obscured by a ten-gallon hat and a large golden ponytail. Her knees are scuffed and her face is dirty, signs she just fell from her feet. However, rather than trying to get back up, she remains on her knees, staring at her hands in disbelief.]

I swear... [She pants.] I swear... if this is one of your tricks, Discord... [She tries to get back on her feet, but stumbles backwards. Her hat falls off her head, revealing her freckled face and shocking green eyes.]

You ain't gonna have any teeth when I'm through with you!!

[She scans the nearby area, and sure enough, there's a red and white ball not too far away from her pokegear. She picks it up and examines it.]

You mean this thing here?

[She nods with excitement! Then she remembers, and begins taking one ball out as well. When the former AJ left, FS was left with one of her Pokemon. But she doesn't want to confuse her friend with more memory issues...]

...Give me? How come?

[If these creatures are as important as Fluttershy makes them seem, then shouldn't she be the one to hold on to them? A girl like her needs all the protection she can get.]

[that's her story and she's sticking to it. A click, a flash of light, and then, ta-da! She's holding an Eevee!]

[She blinks, staring at the second ball that seems to have teleported into her hand. She would simply thank her, but the name sticks out in her head. Her eyes lower and she sighs quietly.]

This... isn't just one of Discord's tricks, is it?

'People'? Is that what this weird animal's called?

'Hue-man'. [She shakes her head. It doesn't really roll off the tongue like 'pony' does.]

I don't know how I feel about this, sugarcube. It just... doesn't feel right.

[... except. uh. whoops.]

[She begins going back and forth, confused to what to do. Winiona gets dizzy...]

[She gives her a reassuring nod.]

Well we can't just leave Pinkie out there somewhere. Don't you worry. You just stay calm and I'll be there lickity-split.

[Navigating a new world in a body you're not accustomed to. How hard can it be?]

[Because with how well she's taken to walking, she's hoping she's a few houses away...]

Well you can start by explainin' how I'm supposed to use these. [She points down at her legs. Balance, how you work?]

[... and though she doubts problems will repeat, Pinkie's introduction makes her want to keep certain things from happening.]

Yeah, I was wonderin' about that. Feels a little constrictin', but if that's what hue-mans do, then okay.

[Oh, oh, oh, she nearly forgot! What is your Pokemon, show meeeeee]

Oh. I suppose you're right.

[She takes a look at the ball.] I just... push this here button, right?

[Fervent nodding!]

[She hesitates for a moment, before tapping the button. The ball opens, and in a bright flash of light, out dives a young Growlithe. The enthusiastic pup lands in her arms, knocking her backwards. She stumbles a bit, but manages to keep her balance this time.]

Woah there!
